Open Board Positions

Looking to volunteer in the community without a huge commitment? If so, keep reading. NYSA has several openings and new positions on their volunteer board. Email [email protected] if you have interest.
Secretary - Keep notes at 2-3 meetings per year, communicate with board about internal tasks, maintain internal schedule for communication and milestones. This is an executive position with voting rights. The ideal candidate should be organized, a good communicator, and willing to formulate and share ideas shaping the overall path of NYSA.

Scholarship Coordinator - Coordinate registration and equipment acquisition for scholarship players. This involves communicating with player's parents or school leaders. Most of the work takes place before each season begins.

Sponsor Coordinator - Manage implementation of our 2 or 3 sponsors and possibly recruit more.

Ref Coordinator - Organize, recruit, and assign teenage refs for U10 games. Refs need to be trained and paid and kept on task.

Tots Director - Recruit other tots parents to help coach and lead specific days, communicate with parents about the program, etc. Ideally this person has a player in the tots program. This position is a perfect introduction for someone new to NYSA that has aspirations of being involved more in the future.

U8 Boys Coordinator - Assign players and coaches to teams, recruit coaches if necessary, communicate to the division. Ideally this person has a boy in the U8 league. *Division coordinators generally follow their player as they age up in the program

U6 Boys Coordinator - Assign players and coaches to teams, recruit coaches if necessary, communicate to the division. Ideally this person has a boy in the U6 league. *Division coordinators generally follow their player as they age up in the program

U6 Girls Coordinator - Assign players and coaches to teams, recruit coaches if necessary, communicate to the division. Ideally this person has a girl in the U6 league. *Division coordinators generally follow their player as they age up in the program
